Jean-Carl first became known to the general public in front of the camera by playing in several shows such as Les Kiki Tronic, Tactik, Les Parent, Marche à l'ombre, Fatale-Station and Léo. In films, he was part of the cast of Un été sans point ni coup sûr, 1981 and 1987.
In addition to his career on the small and big screen, he lends his voice to numerous radio and television commercials.
In 2020, he wrote and directed his very first film, Flashwood, on which he worked for 7 years without any help from financial institutions. Flashwood played in theaters as part of the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois. Jean-Carl has also directed several episodes of television series such as District 31, 5e rang, STAT, Sans Rancune, Hôtel and Chef Oli vire champêtre.
