Jean-Carl Boucher

Jean-Carl Boucher first gained recognition as an actor, appearing in several popular Quebec series including Les Kiki Tronic, Tactik, Les Parent, Marche à l’ombre, Fatale-Station, and Léo. On the big screen, he notably appeared in Un été sans point ni coup sûr and in the successful film series 1981, 1987, 1991, and 1995.

Drawing on his experience in front of the camera, he has since established himself as a director, particularly in advertising, where his sharp sense of humor, strong direction of actors, and instinct for punchy comedic moments stand out. He has directed campaigns for brands such as Volkswagen and Couche-Tard.

In 2020, he wrote and directed his first feature film, Flashwood, an ambitious project he developed over seven years, which premiered at the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois.

Jean-Carl has also directed episodes of several acclaimed television series, including District 31, 5e rang, STAT, Sans rancune, Hôtel, and Chef Oli vire champêtre.
