Vanessa Gauvin‑Brodeur
Vanessa grew up on three different continents, somewhere between Europe, North America, and the Middle East, creating a fascination for the influence of culture and life experience on one’s story, singularity, and roots.
As a multidisciplinary creative (screenwriting, advertising, TV, documentary, fiction and editing), Vanessa is known for her work grounded in reality and the sensitivity of her storytelling.
Since entering the world of advertising, she has directed campaigns for clients such as Dove, Volkswagen, the National Bank, John Frieda, Sobeys, Gildan, Beneva, or the Government of Quebec.
In 2023, she wrote, directed, and edited her documentary ASBESTOS, which was selected for the official competition at the 31st edition of the prestigious Hot Docs Festival. In 2025, she began directing and writing Sexugénaires, her first television series produced by ROMEO, which will air on TV5 in 2026.
Beyond her directing experience, Vanessa worked as a journalist for numerous years, publishing an array of articles for various publications such as Urbania, Beside, or Clin d’Oeil. She is represented by Asymetric in Toronto and by Maude-Isabelle Delagrave for fiction.
